10 years ago we anxiously awaited the birth of our first grandson Tristen. On his arrival we got the unbelievable horrified news that Tristen was born blind and deaf and mentally retarded. My Son Wes and his wife Katie are again expecting and we find ourselves anxiously awaiting again. We just got news that he may have... down syndrome. I am asking all of you to please pray for Gods will for this unborn baby's health and well being. I thank you all in-advance.My warmest thanks and blessings, Cindy and family

I've just reinstated my blogroll (I thought I could keep up without it, but couldn't) so I'm just seeing this. Many prayers for you and your family. I have a brother who is profoundly mentally retarded. I know how challenging it is for a family.

I know how worried your family must be...I too was told that my son could have down syndrome.
But my Zach was born with no problems at all...one of the most healthy children I know and is smarter than his 10 years.
Doctors are often wrong about these things but regardless our prayers will be with you.
